Is this a subscription?
No. It is one payment for a lifetime v2 license. A later major version may be a separate product; v2 will keep working.
What is different from the original v1?
v2 is faster on large projects and adds compression, secret detection, local redaction, and a headless CLI.
Does the app upload my repository?
No. Scanning, selection, compression, redaction, and context generation run locally. You decide where to paste the result.
Why use this when coding agents already exist?
Agents are useful when you know what you want done. AICodePrep is for carrying the same real project context into a fresh chat, a different model, or several opinions at once—especially when the first approach is not clicking.
